What I'm Most Grateful for Today at Age 67
I only want to kiss you I lamented when I lost my libido.
You said fine. I love that you only kissed me
for a long time until I asked for more. You obliged
and we discovered a whole new way to ignite
passion that found its fulfillment. Today,
I love you most for that.
55 for the G-Man - giving thanks for things that really matter.

I really enjoyed your expression of love here, Mary. Love may change form from one time to another; but true love remains true love. A beautiful 55!
ReplyDeleteHe's a Honey...
DeleteMary Mary....Still baking those warm buns eh?
ReplyDeleteGood for you!! (And really good for John)
Loved your affectionate 55
You Rock Baby!
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End
I'm grateful we keep trying. You have a great weekend as well.
DeleteThere are some things one is never too old for--I hope! As I often say, I'm old, not dead. ;_) A lovely counting of blessings here, Mary.
ReplyDeleteExactly- we just need to figure out how to handle the physical changes. But more blessings than anything.
Deletesmiles...nice...it is compromise&patience, this relationship thing...and loving beyond the physical as well...and i am all for finding new ways to ignite...
ReplyDeleteNecessity is the mother of invention...
DeleteThis is really sweet!
ReplyDeleteThanks, MZ, my Honey is a sweet guy.
DeleteLove shared and expressed...how could anything compare to that? This was so tender and touching, Mary.
ReplyDeleteThanks, true story.
DeleteOh my ... this is a must read for anyone over the age of 60!
ReplyDeleteThis is the kind of info we need to share with each other...
DeleteGlad you liked it, Terra.
ReplyDeleteThis line:
ReplyDelete"I love that you only kissed me
for a long time until I asked for more."
I love it.
Thanks, A, how could I not love him?
DeleteI enjoyed the sweetness of your words and the love you expressed!
ReplyDelete40 years of loving him...
DeleteThis is so so lovely--so candid and sweet and genuine. Much enjoyed. Thanks, Mary. K.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed it Karin, that's just how it happened.
DeleteFabulous! You are a very fortunate woman.
ReplyDeleteSo true, Sally.
DeleteLots of ways to ignite the passion. And, indeed, that is something to be thankful for!
ReplyDeleteA little trickier as I get older but I'm thankful for the myriad ways.
DeleteI love the fact that you found words and then put them out there. Those of us who also live this story will find comfort, and perhaps even courage, in your words.
ReplyDeleteWe're in this together, aren't we? I did hesitate but then figured I wasn't the only one facing this change. So be encouraged!
