We had rain galore last night and various shades of gray skies today interspersed with showers. The clouds scudding around were the fast moving kind that arrange and rearrange themselves dramatically on their way to dump their rain here or there as they see fit. It is quite a show.
It forms the back drop as I stay present to the difficult stories of those with whom I work.

Those clouds ... an excellent metaphor for life and living. But then, you knew that. :)
ReplyDeleteIt really struck me today, inside and outside closely allied.
DeleteHaving seen the glorious scenery earlier, I'm glad you posted this reminder that you are immersed in serious and difficult work. Meanwhile, I mentioned you and linked to your post about Dragonvale. I'll bet D'vale seems worlds away and almost unreal. :-)
ReplyDeleteI spend a little time on D'vale in the morning and the evening since my grandson and my niece continue to consult with me. There's a whole new group of draagons- the metal dragons and some speciality ones that require lots of experimentation to figure out how to breed them. It's such a good antidote to the seriousness of my work and such a good link to my grands. Have you tried it?
DeleteI love your simple advice and wisdom here. I especially need to find ways to stay grounded.
ReplyDeleteFor me, nothing grounds me as well as time in nature.
DeleteThey are so lucky to have you there.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lauren. I feel lucky as well. Great ground for growing compassion.
DeleteI agree....they are lucky to have you.
ReplyDeleteGrazie mille.
DeleteIt is reassuring to know that you continue on helping those who need you while stormy skies flow and flux.
