Crosssroads' program is 4 or 6 weeks and includes detox from alcohol and drugs and rehab. It's an effective and wonderful program founded by Eric Clapton for those who, like him, struggle with addiction. His message, recovery is possible, treatment works. If you or a loved one is looking for a way out of the chaos that addiciton brings, give me, Mary, or our admissions coordinator, Adrienne, a call. Really. 1-268-562-0035. It's all confidential.
Some photos of our beautiful setting:
Where I'm staying.
Bouganvillea everywhere, pink, peach, purple, in full bloom.
It's a healing environment.
A great environment to get a new perspective on life.
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing to be a part of such an awesome community! I feel blessed every day to have 7yrs recovery from Anorexia after a 14yr battle. I still am in contact with those amazing people who walked with me...prayers to you for your good works!
ReplyDeleteHow did you get involved in this? Is it volunteer work? I'm so used to hearing about people going to poverty stricken or disaster stricken countries to lend a hand, I'm very curious.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place...a thin place.....
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful setting! And it's great that you are doing such wonderful work.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful opportunity for the people in need. - to get their life back in order.
ReplyDeleteThe work you/they do is heartfelt.
Such lovely scenery as well.
I love Eric Clapton. I'll be humming his songs all day now. :)
Best,

How wonderful...the work you do.
ReplyDeleteThis setting looks great for the facility. I should think when one is ready to see it through new eyes it has to be a great beginning.
Rosaria, And our clients do get a new perspective on their life.
ReplyDeleteAndrea, Thanks. Congratulations and I feel blessed, too.
CA Girl, I worked here for 2 1/2 years before retiring in'08. Last year and this year I came back to be a Medical Consultant and work with the nursing and wellness staff. The clients have often come to places of disaster in their lives but Antigua and Crossroads are lovely.
M.P.Mama, What do you mean by "thin"? I'm intrigued.
Blissed-Out Grandma,The work is deeply satisfying.
Gabriele, They work hard as if their lives depended on it (because they do). Eric's a great example as well as a great musician.
Nanny, The setting is beautiful. Yes, new eyes and new beginnings.
That sounds like a wonderful program. Good for Clapton for establishing it. It's always heartwarming when a successful celebrity gives back.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a warm heart to help out, especially since it is so far from home.
And, wow, what a setting! Beautiful pictures.
Looks like a lovely spot. Perfect for a healing environment, I should think.
