UFO's and iPad Keyboards

In the view from my balcony, the UFO cloud, previously documented on September 25's blog post, appeared again this evening (which is coming entirely too early since going off daylight savings). It seemed to swoop in leaving that visible path and feathery accompaniments. No aliens were seen emerging.

And in other news of the day, behold the new, full sized, regular keyboard for my iPad.

The iPad sits in a channel and is magnetized to hold well.

The keyboard is bluetooth enabled, made by Logitech and becomes the cover for the iPad with a magnetized strip along one side (shown on the left) once the iPad is removed from the channel.

This is the super slim width when closed. It works like a charm, makes typing easier and I give it two thumbs up as a must have item for iPad owner writers.

  1. Did you compose this post on it? I'm curious because I find the interface with Blogger to be substandard, so I use my MacBook Air to compose and only use my iPad when I'm out and about...

    1. No, my iPad was charging when I wrote it but I used the iPad to post to my blog when I was traveling last Christmas and will try it again here now that you brought that up. I have to say I'm on the iPad every day in order to be out in the kitchen or living room next to the sliding glass doors rather than in the office with no window.

  2. You have sold me on this....I just put one into my cart on Amazon. Have to decide whether to just buy it, or to request it for Christmas. Family gets cranky when I buy myself things and then have nothing to suggest they might buy me. :-)

    1. Presents are fun, especially when they're just what you want.

  3. I have some kind of a full sized Logitech keyboard for my iPad too, but truly I find it cumbersome and have gotten used to just writing by using the screen. Then I don't have to lug an additional thing along with me either.

    1. The Apple keyboard for the iPad is separate and has to be taken along additionally to the iPad. The Logitech keyboard, however, becomes the cover for the iPad so it's one piece. It's probably personal but I find it easier being able to use the traditional keyboard.

  4. Looks tempting for the iPad outings on trips. What appeals to me is the cover aspect. I have a cover on my iPad but it makes the thing quite heavy.

    1. I do a lot of traveling and have a desk top computer, so the iPad is my new best friend.
